I love online video of educational content, espeicaly tech related but with regards to pretty much anything and everything. I have recently watched to great talks from the recent DLD conference. It was in Munich and this years dates 2010, 23rd – 25th Janurary. With global diversity in attendees and an interdisciplinary perspective of digital, media, design, art, science, brands, consumers and society, the conference is known as the European forum for the “creative class“. ” Thats totally my interest right there, yeah baby! and a wonderful picture below.

As for the videos, I have watched a couple already but today the two I have watched so far is this one below. Unfortunately WP does not allow the embedded code of the video to be inserted directly into the blog, which I would have loved so very much. So I am putting a picture that is linked to the video.

Reid talks about patents, and that is something I have never thought of regarding the social media space. He mentions some of FB and LinkedIn’s patents that have solidificed certain business models going forward. I found this article regarding some patents in the social media space but it is definately something that opened up to me from this talk.

The next talk I watched and will end this post was a very interesting talk on perception. Here are some of the details.
About this panel
Al Seckel’s research focuses on perception. The fascinating thing about perception? It’s hard to change – even it you know you’re being fooled you can’t help it. Al took the audience through a tour de force of different examples how perception can be fooled – even if you actually know that what you’re seeing or hearing isn’t really there. Context is very important for the way we perceive information and making decisions.

The video is titled “Perception – DLD10
